Canine Accommodations and Rates
We offer a variety of lodging options including our indoor suites, runs, or condos. In addition, guests staying in a luxury suite enjoy roomier accommodations with plenty of natural light, only 5 suites per room, glass front runs, and web cam accessibility to allow the rest of the family to take a peek! Music is also played in every room.
Dogs go outside to run and play three times a day. Our outdoor area is secure, fully fenced, and your pet will always be well-supervised by our staff. Play sessions can be individual or in groups.
Please understand that our boarding staff may decline your request for accommodations if they are deemed too small for your pet. This is for your pet’s safety and comfort.
Feline Accommodations and Rates
We’re sensitive to the needs of our feline guests, which is why we provide a quiet and calm boarding area separate from canine accommodations. Most of our kitty condos have a clear Plexiglas back that grants our guests a view of either the on-goings of the reception area or the outdoors. Every guest will be provided exercise as they will be able to spend time enjoying our “kitty jungle gym”, and music will be played for their listening pleasures.
Exotic Pet Accommodations and Rates
The Highland Inn has limited availability for exotic animals. For more information, please call (781) 433-0467 and ask to speak to a member of our boarding staff.
Policies and Procedures
The Highland Inn shares a building with our hospital. This means that your pet will have instant access to our experienced clinical care team during their entire stay. We’re also prepared to board special needs pets and pets who need medication administered. To accommodate your busy schedule, you also have the option to schedule wellness services like exams, vaccines, and dental cleanings during their pet’s stay.
We request that you print and complete our medical history form prior to check in. This will help expedite the registration process.
For reservation requests, give us a call at 781-433-0467 or use our online request form.
For the safety of all boarders, the following vaccines are required prior to boarding at the Highland Inn:
- Dogs: Rabies, Distemper, Parvovirus, Bordetella (Kennel Cough), Influenza, Negative Parasite Test
- Cats: Rabies, Distemper, Negative Parasite Test
All of your pet’s vaccines must be up to date. If your pet is not a client of Highland Animal Hospital, written proof must be provided before or at the time of arrival. If a pet is not current on vaccines upon registration, we will perform an exam and administer required vaccine. We ask for your understanding, as this is for the safety of all pets boarding with us.
In order to give our kennel staff the sufficient time to clean your pet’s quarters prior to the arrival of the next guest, checkout time is by 1PM. Pets that are picked up after 1PM will be charged for an extra day.
Sunday checkout is available, but arrangements must be made with our boarding staff prior to the pickup. Please note that our front office will be closed, thus payment must be made in advance. Sunday pickups are available between 11-12pm, or 3-4pm only. Our facility will be locked, so please ring the bell and someone from our team will greet and assist you.
Cancelling Your Reservation
There is a high demand for boarding at our facility. For this reason, our cancellation policy requires a credit card to hold your pet’s reservation. Cancel your pet’s reservation free of charge if you cancel at least two weeks in advance. For all reservations cancelled with less than two weeks of the pet’s schedule stay, you will be charged 50% of the original reservation cost.
Pet Restraint for Safety
For the safety of all clients, pets, and staff members at our facility, all pets must arrive properly restrained. We require all dogs arrive leashed, cats arrive in a carrier, and exotic pets arrive in a carrier or cage.
