Canine Accommodations

We offer a variety of lodging options including indoor suites, runs, or condos. In addition, guests staying in a luxury suite enjoy roomier accommodations with plenty of natural light, five suites per room and glass front runs! Music is also played in every room.

Dogs go outside to run and play three times a day. Our outdoor area is secure, fully fenced, and your pet will always be well supervised by our staff. Play sessions can be individual or in groups.

Please understand our boarding staff may decline your request for accommodations if they are deemed too small for your pet. This is for your pet’s safety and comfort.

Feline Accommodations

We’re sensitive to the needs of our feline guests, which is why we provide a quiet and calm boarding area separate from canine accommodations. Most of our kitty condos have a clear Plexiglas back that grants our guests a view of either the ongoings of the reception area or the outdoors. Every guest will be provided exercise, as they will be able to spend time enjoying our "kitty jungle gym" and music will be played for their listening pleasure.

Vaccine Requirements

For the safety of all boarders, the following vaccines are required prior to boarding at the Highland Inn:

  • Dogs: Rabies, Distemper, Parvovirus, Bordetella (Kennel Cough), Influenza, Negative Parasite Test
  • Cats: Rabies, Distemper, Negative Parasite Test

All of your pet’s vaccines must be up to date. If your pet is not a client of Highland Animal Hospital, written proof must be provided before or at the time of arrival. If a pet is not current on vaccines upon registration, we will perform an exam and administer required vaccine. We ask for your understanding, as this is for the safety of all pets boarding with us.

Check-Out Procedure

In order to give our kennel staff the sufficient time to clean your pet’s quarters prior to the arrival of the next guest, checkout time is no later than 1PM. Pets are picked up after 1PM will be charged for an extra day.

Sunday checkout is available, but arrangements must be made with our boarding staff prior to the pickup. Sunday pickups are available between 11am-12pm, or 3-4pm only. Our facility will be locked, so please call the posted phone number.

Cancelling Your Reservation

There is a high demand for boarding at our facility. For this reason, a credit card is required to hold your pet’s reservation. Cancel your pet’s reservation free of charge  with at least two weeks' advance notice. For all reservations cancelled with less than two weeks' notice of the pet’s scheduled stay, 50-percent of the original reservation fee will be charged.

Pet Restraint for Safety

For the safety of all clients, pets, and staff members at our facility, all pets must arrive properly restrained. We require all dogs arrive leashed, cats arrive in carriers, and exotic pets arrive in carriers or cages.
