Appointment Policy
To keep appointments running smoothly and prevent lengthy wait times, we operate by scheduled appointments.
If your pet needs urgent medical care during open office hours, please give us a call. While we are able to assist with certain urgent situations, there may be times when we recommend transferring your pet to one of our trusted specialty or emergency facilities to ensure your pet receives the most appropriate care for their needs and wellbeing.
Arrival Policy
For the safety and comfort of all patients, clients, and team members, we require that all pets arrive properly restrained. Dogs must arrive on a leash, and cats and exotic pets must be in secure carriers.
If you suspect your pet may have an infectious condition like kennel cough or Parvovirus, please let us know prior to your scheduled appointment. This will give us time to make special arrangements for your pet, and prevent the spread of disease to other patients.
New Clients
If you’re not yet a client of ours, we hope to meet you soon! You and your pet are always welcome at Highland Animal Hospital.
If you would like to schedule your pet’s first visit, call us at 781-433-0467. We also encourage you to complete a new client form prior to your pet’s visit to expedite the check in process.
Payment Policy
Please understand, payment is required in full at the time services are performed. This allows us to provide your pet with the highest quality veterinary services in a fully-equipped facility.

Referrals
Prescription Refills
We want to make caring for your pets as easy as possible! Our hospital carries a wide variety of prescription medications for your convenience.
To request a refill, just call us at 781-433-0467 and select option 1. Our pharmacy team checks voicemails Monday-Friday and will text you as soon as your pet’s prescription is ready for pick up.
Prefer delivery? You can place an order through our online pharmacy, and once one of our veterinarians approves it, your pet’s medication will be shipped right to your door!
