
Dr. Sue Floyd
VMDOriginally from Oneida, New York, Dr. Sue Floyd brings with her a great passion for all animals. She received her bachelor’s degree in biology from Washington University in 1987 and earned her Veterinariae Medicinae Doctoris degree from the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine in 1992. The following year, Dr. Floyd completed a post-graduate internship in small animal medicine and surgery.
Dr. Floyd joined the team at Highland Animal Hospital in 2010. Previously, she spent six years in Connecticut in a feline practice, as well as nine years in small animal practice on the South Shore of Boston. Dr. Floyd is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, the Massachusetts Veterinary Medical Association, the German Shepherd Dog Club of America, the Collie Club of America, and the Collie Health Foundation.
Outside of the practice, Dr. Floyd enjoys gardening, junk food, and spending time with her spouse. She also shares a home with three smooth collies, Orla, Izzy, and Glinda, and one German Shepherd, Haldor. Participating in various dog sports with her canine companions is one of Dr. Floyd’s favorite hobbies.
